Good evening! Or, rather, good morning...it's really early in the morning, and it's a travel day for Y Squad. We are at the airport in Quito, Ecuador, spending the night here because we have such an early morning flight to Panama City.

Our month in Quito has been great, and I will do a HIGHLIGHT post later. For now, I wanted to let you know the details of our ministry in Panama (or what details I have).

Here's what we know: My team (Team Abundant Joy) along with Squad Leader Megan Cherry will be stationed in San Felix, Panama, which is about 7 hours away from Panama City (1.5 hours from the border of Costa Rica). We will be working with I.C. Jesus Ministries, and it's possible we may be working with deaf ministry and jungle ministry/unreached people!

So, here's what I don't know: I don't exactly know what work we'll be doing (if we're definitely working with those two ministries) because our hosts with I.C. Jesus will be in the States while we're there. Instead, we'll be working with another missionary couple, and those are the people who do the jungle ministry. I'm also not sure about safety, malaria, or denge fever, as the host didn't fill out that section of our questionnaire. I don't have malaria meds anyway, so that part is somewhat irrelevant. And because San Felix is so small, we haven't been able to find much info on it (the closest city on the map is the city of David -- hmmm, that's funny; City of David :)).

Anyhoo, I'm sure it's all perfectly safe and will be great -- it's all going to be exactly as God planned it for us -- but I would still appreciate prayers anyway: for safe and smooth travels, a great month of ministry, and a nice, thick hedge of protection around me and my squad-mates; also we would really love to see God move in BIG WAYS in Panama, so be praying for that too!
