Just a very quick blog post to share some WONDERFUL NEWS! In 2014/15, while I was working for a family-owned, Christian company in Texas, I kept a little sticky note taped to my computer that said: Pray for Asia Bibi! 

Asia Bibi has been on death row in Pakistan for eight years, since being accused of insulting the prophet Muhammad. 

I just found out that Asia has been ACQUITTED and released from death row and wanted to share this wonderful news with everyone! Here is the article if you'd like to have a read.

What makes this especially momentous is that mobs in Pakistan have been calling for her death, threatening to bring violence and terror if the high court did not execute her. 

Chris and I are very happy that mob rule was averted and that mercy has been extended to Asia, who is a wife and mother and who will now be reunited with her family. Praise Jesus! I hope you'll celebrate this momentous occasion with me by giving praise to God, who has answered many prayers prayed during Asia's imprisonment. 

Please continue to be in prayer for Asia. The mobs have been continuing to make threats (it seems they want to carry through with her execution themselves), and she may need to flee Pakistan as soon as she is physically released.
