Christianity isn’t what you think.
There’s a movement happening right now. The youth of today have already begun recognizing the lack of fulfillment that comes from the world. So instead of worshiping drugs and alcohol and partying and mere men posing as “stars” — all the things of this world that my generation has been worshiping — the youth of today are choosing to recognize and worship their Creator.
For the things of this world won’t be there for you when you need them. Wild parties can’t give you a hug when your mom gets cancer. That rock star won’t come to you with sympathy and comfort when you lose your job. That sports star won’t help you when you’re stretched to the max because of debt. That pill won’t strengthen your children or give them hope when they’re struggling in school. That fancy car and expensive house won’t protect you and keep you safe from the disease that stalks in darkness, but guess what?
Hillsong Young & Free – “Alive”
There is a Savior who will. He’s standing at the door, waiting for you to invite Him in so He can hug you through the cancers, comfort you through the lost jobs, help you with your debt, strengthen your children when they’re weak and give both you and them hope. And He WILL protect those who love Him, those who live in the Shelter of the Most High. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.
Jesus is the Messiah. He is the One True King. And He is THE LIVING GOD. If you but call on Him, He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He is ALIVE, and He’s waiting for you to recognize Him.
Will you invite Him in?
Those who live in the Shelter of the Most High will find rest in the Shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my Refuge, my Place of Safety. He is my God, and I trust Him. For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with His Feathers. He will shelter you with His Wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes and see how the wicked are punished. Psalm 91:1-8
